North bay island

North Bay Island in the Andamans is famous as a premier water sports hub and for its vibrant, shallow coral reefs, which have earned it the local nickname "Coral Island". It is also highly recognized for its iconic lighthouse, which is famously featured on the reverse side of the Indian ₹20 currency note.

It located just a short 15 to 20-minute boat ride (about 4 kilometers) from the Aberdeen Jetty in Port Blair, the island offers a convenient half-day trip for tourists. Key highlights include: 

 It is one of the top spots in the Andaman archipelago for adventure seekers. Visitors can enjoy scuba diving, sea walking, parasailing, snorkeling,semi submarine boat ride and glass-bottom boat rides.

The distinct red-and-white lighthouse dates back to the British colonial era and stands roughly 30 meters tall
